Many homeowners appreciate keeping up with new trends and styles. Although buying new furniture, adding accessories, and renovations can be costly, house interior painting in places like Barrie does not have to be a costly venture.
CBC.ca completed a story about the 2019 top trends in decor and design. In this article, Canadian designers weighed in on a variety of trends that they see will return in terms of paint colour, artwork, kitchen cabinets, flooring, and accent pieces.
One designer said: “Drama! We’ll see designers and decorators infusing spaces with small doses of vibrant jewel tones. The formula will be 90% white, 10% pop, and we’ll continue to see the modern white envelope with hits of bold indigo, hunter and emerald green. The cool grey room is history” (cbc.ca/canadiandesigners). In a former blog, we discussed the value of interior painting with the colour white as your dominant focus, using accent pieces to create an added pop.
Another designer suggested: “I’m not afraid to say it, I think brown is back. We have seen so much grey over the past decade and then we transitioned into grieges (grey plus beige) but now it’s all about warmer richer colours like rust, umber, chestnut, sepia and bronze. These colours are being used with all kinds of other colours — vibrant blues, blush pinks, saturated greens and bold oranges — to create a rich, welcoming palette” (cbc.ca/canadiandesigners). For those who prefer a warmer look, interior painting in places like Innisfil with various tones of brown can transform your home into a rich, warm space.
Whatever trend or designer you agree with, it is always best to choose a professional for your house interior painting. The cost may be more, but well worth it in the end.
